Vicky Reeves wins Best Woman in Technology Award (28/10/05)
Last night, at a Gala Awards ceremony at London's Riverbank Park Plaza Hotel, Vicky Reeves, Managing Director and Founder of web solutions company Chameleon Net, was announced winner of 'Best Woman in Technology' in the category for businesses with under 250 employees.
The award was presented at the inaugural Women & Technology Awards, which recognise excellence and outstanding contributions to technology made by women. The awards are sponsored by HSBC and hosted by BlackBerry and Aurora.
Strong competition
The nominations in Vicky's category were very strong, including the Chief Executives of Industry leaders like Nominet and TopTable. Full shortlist...
Vicky said: "I'm delighted to have won, especially against such stiff competition! It really makes me proud of how far we have taken Chameleon. It also reminds me that the web industry is extremely fast moving, so we plan to keep on pushing the boundaries of what can be done online."
What the judges thought
The award was presented by Amanda Rendle, Head of Business Marketing at HSBC and one of the panel of judges.
Amanda commented: "Vicky was a deserved winner. The judges were really impressed with her determination in founding and growing Chameleon Net, plus her desire to put both technological innovation and client focus at the heart of the company."
